Pogba's performances in Brazil saw him named the Young Player of the Tournament and he has now admitted that he is driven by the prospect of winning more individual and collective trophies.
"I'm very proud to receive this award and it was an honour for me to play in the World Cup," the 21-year-old told FIFA.com on Wednesday.
"I can't predict what's going to happen in the future but I'm going to do all I can to win even more trophies.
"I'm going to keep working hard. My aim is to become the best player in the world."
Pogba's current contract with Juventus runs until 2016 and he was repeatedly linked with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and United during the summer.
The Gunners embarked on the season with just six senior defenders to cover four positions after allowing former club captain Thomas Vermaelen to join Barcelona in an estimated €20 million deal this summer.
A €10m move for Greece international Konstantinos Manolas stalled over personal terms before Roma swooped to sign him and Wenger has vowed to resume his search for another defender in 2015.
"We have done remarkably well in the transfer window. We tried to buy one more, a defender, but we didn't find one. But we will try to rectify that in January," said the Frenchman at Arsenal's AGM.
Wenger also reiterated his desire to improve Arsenal's medical record with the club once again in the midst of an injury crisis and explained that the domestic core to the current Gunners team was the result of a conscious policy.
"We are trying to develop our preventive work in the medical side," he insisted. "We are also working on the mental side; it's important the players are attached to the club.
"The modern game has changed things more in favour of the clubs. I feel you have a responsibility to deal with that. I am taking a responsibility to do that with our youth teams and senior players.
"We have developed a more English team. We wanted to make a more English team. We have a good core of young English players and overall we are going in the right direction."
